MERIT Chemistry Set

Took the kids to the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green at the weekend, with Nicola and Rupert. I had this exact same chemistry set when I was a boy. Sobering to find out that I'm now so old, my childhood toys are on display in a museum.

Patch belongs to nursery, but he goes home with a different child each weekend. There's a diary you have to fill in with all his adventures ...


We took Patch on the Nene Valley Steam Railway, which runs from Wansford to Peterborough.






We had pizza for lunch in Peterborough, and then took the opportunity to call in to see Aunt Audrey and Uncle Bernard.
